VATICAN CITY - The Vatican decried a culture of sex that is fueling the AIDS crisis and said Tuesday that keeping sexual activity exclusive to marriage was the best way to prevent the virus from spreading.
The Vatican's Pontifical Council for Health Pastoral Care issued a message for World AIDS Day, which is marked every Dec. 1.
In it, the Vatican said sexual transmission remains the most important pathway of infection _ even more than by mother to child and blood transfusions.
"This is greatly fostered by a kind of pansexual culture that devalues sexuality, reducing it to mere pleasure without any further meaning," it said.
"Radical prevention in this field must come from a correct conception and practice of sexuality, where sexual activity is understood in its deep meaning as a total and absolute expression of the fecund giving of love."
It said that is found in keeping sex exclusive to marriage and in intensifying the strength of the family.
The Vatican's opposition to condoms has been criticized by those who advocate their use as a way to help combat the spread of the HIV virus. However, several prelates have suggested that using condoms that could prevent a death may be the lesser evil.
Last week organizers of the annual Christmas concert at the Vatican said a Brazilian singer who promoted condom use in an anti-AIDS campaign had been dropped from the lineup. Officials said Daniela Mercury's appearance was canceled for fear that she would publicly promote condom use while at the Vatican."
Hey Associated Press...NO SHIT! Um, yeah, why WOULDN'T the Vatican not like premarital sex? Hmm, LET'S THINK ABOUT THIS!
Anyway I haven't started my homewark and its already 6:10. X_x I'll be doing that soon cause I have to finish an art project too. Oh how fun.
So nothing is new really. I started playing Final Fantasy X again for kicks. Its kinda lame yet fun.
Ahhh childhood memories. Where have times like yours gone? But the times are good now. I still laugh. But truly with the same people. Even when one or more of us is missing, we fill in the rest. Actually I couldn't ask for better times. Well, socially if not partially.
I still have sessions to do. I was gonna start them today but I never did! I'll just take notes tonight then go to sleep and then just type things up when I wake up and edit once more before bed.
With Lauren and Matt over it really made me think about the decision I have. Should I gun it for A? Or keep my chances safe and go for a still somewhat fulfilling B? Options, decision, and cross your fingers.
Seriously. What sick and twisted individual decided to come up with the way we live our lives? Not God. He made us and watches us. What else do you expect him to do?
What if....what if all the religions were correct? I mean...they really can't contradict each other can they? Or at least when you look at the BIG picture they don't.
I feel like sleeping for 3 days straight.
Drifting.
I feel like drawing. Writing. But I wont.

Edit: If everyone knows, then why don't they say something?
